December 17th: Christmas Train

Invited by Port Moody Rotary Club, Adai's volunteers helped out the face painting of its Christmas train, which was prepared for community celebration of the upcoming Christmas.  

 

December 14th: West Vancouver Clothes Drive

Following the previous two clothes drives organized by Adai, Adai's volunteers in West Vancouver completed their own clothes drive for this neighbourhood. 

 

December 12th: Adai Network Community Seminar

Invited by Coquitlam-Burke Mountain MLA Jodie Wickens, Adai Volunteers participated in her community seminar to learn about the community dynamics of Coquitlam. 

 

December 4th: Rogers Santa Claus Parade

Invited by Rogers Santa Claus Parade, Adai's volunteers joined this award-winning parade in celebration of upcoming Christmas. 

 

November 27th: Burnaby Volunteer Appreciation Day

To celebrate the success of Adai Network in 2016, more than 300 Adai members joined our appreciate day in Burnaby. Our special thanks for the organizational help from Tian-Jin Temple and our honored guests from Burnaby City Hall and Burnaby School Board.

 

November 20th: Canadian Open Bonspiel Tournament

Invited by Richmond Centre for Disability, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its Canadian Open Bonspiel Tournament.

 

November 19th: Elder in the Making

Invited by David Suzuki Foundation Sustainable Diversity Network, Adai's volunteers facilitated the screening of "Elder in the Making" at Musqueam Cultural Pavillion.  

 

November 16th: 2016 World Taekwondo Junior Championships

Invited by Burnaby Tourism, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of the 2016 World Taekwondo Junior Championships.

 

November 12th: Eagle Ridge Manor Hospital Christmas Decoration

In collaboration with Port Moody Rotary Club, Adai's volunteers helped out the Christmas decoration of Eagle Ridge Manor Hospital.

 

November 5th: BC NDP Day of Action (Burnaby)

Invited by BC NDP, Adai's volunteers helped its day of action in Burnaby's Deer Lake neighbourhood. 

 

November 5th: New Vista Fall Concert

Following the success of our summer concert,  Adai's volunteers presented a special show again for the residents at the New Vista care home.

 

October 30th: The Great Climate Race 2016

Invited by the Great Climate Race Project, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its annual fund raising marathon. 

 

October 29th: Bog Halloween Escape

Invited by Burns Bog Conservation Society, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its Halloween escape event. 

 

October 22nd: Port Moody Shoreline Park Clean Up

In collaboration with Port Moody Rotary Club, Adai's volunteers participated in its Shoreline Park Clean Up.

 

October 17th: Canada - China Women's Ice Hockey Tournament

In collaboration with CSSA Youth Association, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of the Canada - China Women's Ice Hockey Tournament at UBC.

October 16th: Guo-Hua Food Expo

Invited by Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in BC, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its food expo at Guo-Hua Supermarket in Richmond.

 

October 16th: Halloween Parade

Invited by Burnaby Tian-Jin Temple, Adai's volunteers joined its parade team for the Halloween parade in Downtown Vancouver. 

 

October 8th: Vancouver Outreach Lunch

Invited by Burnaby Tian-Jin Temple, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its Vancouver outreach program. 

 

October 4th: Chong Yang Festival Celebration

This is Adai's first event in White Rock~ Invited by Chinese Village Club, Adai's volunteers helped its Chong Yang community dinner. 

 

October 1st: Edmonds Fall Sweep

Invited by Edmonds People in Community (EPIC), Adai's volunteers joined its fall street sweep event. 

 

September 26th: JDRF Annual Fund Raising Drive

Invited by JDRF, Adai's volunteers faciliated the on-site operations of its annual fund raising event.  

 

September 25th: Making a New Guinness Record

In collaboration with Canadian Community Service Association, Adai's volunteers participated in the "3,000 people reading Confucian Analects“, which created a new Guinness world record.

 

September 24th: Edmonton Clothes Drive

Following the success of our Greater Vancouver clothes drive, our newly founded Edmonton branch successfully conducted its own clothes drive for local residents.

 

September 18th: Chinese Calligraphy Competition

Invited by Burnaby Tian-Jin Temple, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its Chinese calligraphy competition.

 

September 17th: Burnaby City Hall and RCMP Open House

Invited by City of Burnaby and Burnaby RCMP, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of their annual open house.

 

September 3rd: Taiwan Cultural Festival

Invited by Burnaby Tian-Jin Temple, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its Taiwan Cultural Festival in Downtown Vancouver.

 

August 21st: Greater Vancouver Clothes Drive

This is Adai's first attempt to run its own clothes drive for people-in-need across Greater Vancouver. Thank you all for donating your used clothes and helping out the entire process! We will do another cloth donation event among Adai's volunteers soon. 

 

August 6th: Korean Heritage Day (Burnaby) 

Invited by Burnaby-Lougheed MLA Jane Shin, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of Korean Heritage Day.

 

July 31st: Chinese Heritage Day (Burnaby)

Invited by Burnaby Tian-Jin Temple, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its Chinese Heritage Day.

 

July 30th: Richmond Multi-Culture Art Festival

In collaboration with Canadian Multi-Culture Association, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of the 2016 Richmond Multi-Culture Art Festival.

 

July 24th: Port Moody Rib Festival

In collaboration with Port Moody Rotary Club, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its Port Moody Rib Festival.

 

July 23rd: BC NDP Day of Action (Burnaby)

Invited by BC NDP, Adai's volunteers helped its day of action in Burnaby's Deer Lake neighbourhood.

July 9th: New Vista Summer Concert

In collaboration with New Vista Society, Adai's volunteers presented a special show for the residents at the New Vista care home.

 

July 1st: Canada Day at Burnaby Village Museum

Invited by BC NDP, Adai's volunteers faciliated the on-site operation of its Canada Day celebration at Burnaby Village Museum. 

 

July 1st: Canada Day Parade - the Port of Vancouver

In collaboration with "Canada Day at Canada Place", the award-winning event organized by the Port of Vancouver, Adai's volunteers joins their peers to go on the street celebrating the birthday of Canada.

 

June 26th: New Canadian Family Event (New Westminster) - CUPE 387

In collaboration with CUPE 387, Adai's volunteers facilitated the on-site operations of its 2016 new Canadian family event. 

 

May 27th: Burnaby Deer Lake NDP Nomination Event

Invited by Burnaby City Councilor Anne Kang, Adai's volunteers faciliated the organization of her Burnaby Deer Lake NDP Nomination Event.

May 2nd: Michelle Island Clean up

Led by Richmond's Community Leader Henry Yao (BC NDP), Adai's volunteers facilitated the clean up of Richmond's Michelle Island.

 

March 19th: Adai Network Community Seminar

It's our great pleasure to host our first ever public event. During today's seminar, Burnaby City Councilor Anne Kang, Xinviteer's President Teresa Zhang, and Gen Why Media's Co-founder & Creative Director Tara Mahoney discussed their experience of engaging with the non-profit sector of Greater Vancouver.
